Teaching is not merely a profession; it is a profound journey of self-discovery, growth, and connection with others. My experience at Don Bosco provided a unique opportunity to immerse myself in the art of teaching, transcending language barriers and fostering a nurturing environment for both personal and academic development. This essay delves into my journey, focusing on the challenges, triumphs, and the profound joy that emerged from the classroom.
The actual teaching in Don Bosco helped me gain a great experience wherein I practiced my teaching skills despite the language barrier. We handled the 5/4 and 5/5 section of Year 11. The students are so kind and participative throughout the activities I made for them. The students of Don Bosco, particularly in sections 5/4 and 5/5, proved to be a delightful challenge. Their kindness and enthusiasm for learning created a positive atmosphere in the classroom. Encouraging active participation became a cornerstone of my teaching approach. Witnessing the students' willingness to engage in every activity and game not only validated my efforts but also reinforced the belief that education transcends the mere transfer of information — it is about creating an interactive and enjoyable learning environment.
Crafting activities that resonate with students is an art that I honed during my time at Don Bosco. Whether it was a thought-provoking game or a collaborative project, each activity was designed to foster a sense of joy and curiosity.
